The end of the American dream

The American dream has faded, but its contradictions and promises still shake the world that is following what is happening there. This leadership ability still makes the USA a superpower. However, a superpower whose contradictions are increasingly visible.

Unique times

Unique times demand that no hasty judgments be made and still less that we allow ourselves to be carried away by easy populisms that make us believe that China is an undisputed giant internally and externally and that Europe has fallen completely under its own weight.

In the moments when the human being is challenged, the ability to give his life for the other, but also to accuse him of the greatest evil in the world, stands out. This pandemic brings out the best and the worst in us. It is also the best and the worst that modern states are capable of producing.

Certain groups, given the existing social organization, have always been consigned to silence. Not because they did not have a voice, were not part of that society, or did not contribute to their daily lives, but simply because their voice was silenced by those who could do it.
