Minister of Agriculture participates in cherry picking in Fundão

The Ministry of Agriculture points out that the Cova da Beira region is considered one of the largest areas of cherry production at the national level.

The Minister of Agriculture, Maria do Céu Albuquerque, visited this Friday, May 22, starting at 10 am, the municipality of Fundão to accompany the cherry picking.

“The Cova da Beira region is considered to be one of the largest areas of cherry production at the national level”, underlines a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture.

Maria do Céu Albuquerque's program includes a visit to the Frutas Salvado exploration and direct participation in cherry picking in Gândaras de Baixo, Castelo Novo.

At 11:45 am, a visit was made to Cerfundão, at the Supply Market of Cova da Beira, in Fundão.
