The Portuguese Bar Association (OA) and BPI announced this Wednesday that they have made an agreement to benefit around 33.500 lawyers through special commercial conditions in accessing a package of products and services from the bank.
The protocol - signed by the executive president-designate of BPI, João Pedro Oliveira e Costa, and by the president Luís Menezes Leitão - provides a package of benefits to lawyers registered with the Order, namely a product that allows the management and movement of funds that lawyers receive customers, within the scope of their professional activity, without maintenance costs.
Thus, the bank owned by CaixaBank designed a range of products and services adjusted to the needs of these professionals, among which are advantageous conditions for joining the BPI protocol value account (private) and account trade, for daily operations of law firms.
João Pedro Oliveira e Costa considers that this agreement "will allow thousands of OA associates to have access, under advantageous conditions, to financial products suitable to the needs of day-to-day life and to support the management of their business". "We want to show our commitment to Portuguese lawyers", guaranteed the CEO of BPI.
On the other hand, the president Luís Menezes Leitão reiterated, in the signing of the protocol, the “commitment of the current management of OA to support and provide lawyers with the conditions necessary for the proper performance of their professional activity”, according to the information released this morning to the press.
