Bullish Portuguese stock market driven by NOS, Galp Energia and Jerónimo Martins

The main Portuguese stock index adds 0,72%, to 4.096,22 points.

The main Portuguese stock market index (PSI 20) adds 0,72%, to 4.096,22 points, in line with the main European markets this Thursday, October 1st.

European investors are hopeful of an eventual agreement between Democrats and Republicans at the United States Congress for a new economic stimulus package, which is encouraging European stock exchanges this morning.

On the Portuguese stock exchange, NOS leads the gains in PSI 20, adding 2,18%, to 3,03 euros, a day after the company led by Miguel Almeida had revealed that the NOS Towering transaction for Cellnex was definitively executed.

The energy sector also drives the PSI 20, with Galp Energia moving up 1,57% to 7,91 euros. EDP ​​gains 0,86%, to 4,19 euros, EDP Renováveis, adds 0,14%, to 14,14 euros, and REN rises 0,63%, to 2,37 euros.

Retailers Jerónimo Martins (1,57%) and Sonae (0,69%), as well as Pharol (1,30%) and Navigator (1,13%) also contribute to the Portuguese stock market trading higher.
