Endutex invests 6,3 million euros in the new Moov Oeiras hotel

In a first phase, the project of the Portuguese group will create ten jobs, to which eight more will be added “when the conditions for the resumption of tourism are met”.

The Portuguese group Endutex inaugurates this Wednesday a new hotel of the Moov brand, in Oeiras, an investment of 6,3 million euros that represents its fifth hotel unit and the fourth in Portugal.

Located in a commercial and business area of the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon, between Lagoas Park and Taguspark, the new Moov Oeiras is geared towards business tourism and offers a total of 115 rooms, divided over eight floors, the promoters say, in a statement .

In a first phase, the project will create ten jobs, to which eight more will be added “when the conditions for the resumption of tourism are met”.

Built from scratch, the new unit appears in a challenging period for the tourism sector, due to the context of a pandemic crisis, the bet being justified by the administrator of the Endutex Hotéis group with the fact that it is “a long-planned opening”.

“Despite the context to which we are sensitive, Moov Oeiras is essentially geared towards business tourism, which remains very active, as evidenced by our Moov Porto Norte unit, which is also geared towards the business segment. It is also our role to continue to boost the sector, create new jobs and continue the plan for growth and expansion of the Moov group ”, sustains André Ferreira.

Featuring the “Clean & Safe” seal of Turismo de Portugal, Moov Oeiras is located on Avenida Santa Casa da Misericórdia and joins the hotels Moov Porto Centro (in the center of Porto), Moov Porto Norte (in Senhora da Hora, Matosinhos) and Moov Évora. The Endutex group also has another hotel in Brazil, in Curitiba.

Moov hotels are owned by Endutex Hotéis, a company of the Portuguese textile group Endutex, founded in 1970 in Caldas de Vizela and specialized in the production of textile coverings.

In recent years, the group has been diversifying its business areas, investing in real estate and hotels, under the 'low cost' Moov brand.
