Madeira: job center enrollments grow 6%

Job offers fell 71% year on year, while labor market insertions in May fell 45%.

The number of unemployed enrolled in the job centre, in Madeira, grew 6,3% in May, compared to the previous month, and 10,9% in comparison with the previous year, according to data from the Regional Statistics Directorate ( DREM).

Madeira also registered an increase in the enrollment of unemployed people, throughout May, in the order of 50%, compared to the previous month, and an increase of 39%, compared to the same period last year.
