Euronext and COTEC partner to disclose financing through the capital market

The main objective of the cooperation between COTEC and Euronext is to make the offers of the capital market known to its members. Among the various initiatives of the new partnership, it includes the creation of a new information area on the COTEC Portugal portal, where information on financing through the capital market will be disclosed.

Thus, shareholders and managers of companies will have a new space where they can get to know the capital market better so that, in the future, they may take this financing alternative into account, fostering a dynamic economy, with a larger business capacity that promote growth and independence strategies.

Filipa Franco, head of Listing by Euronext Lisbon, was enthusiastic about the partnership between Euronext and COTEC and underlines that “it is important to promote this financing alternative with national companies so that by ensuring greater investment capacity, they can access and realize new business opportunities and thus also reinforcing the financial sustainability and resilience of the Portuguese economy ”.

In turn, Jorge Portugal, general director of COTEC Portugal. stated that “financing must be an integral part of the internalization process of Portuguese companies. The presence at Euronext reinforces the company's reputation and the market's confidence in its management. We are very pleased with this partnership with Euronext, which we hope will help more companies, and especially SMEs, find in the capital market an additional source for their financing needs for their development and optimization of the capital structure ”.

COTEC Portugal is a Portuguese business association for the promotion of business innovation and technological cooperation, currently representing a group of 343 companies, in various sectors of activity, which represent in aggregate terms 16% of GDP in gross added value and 8% of private employment.
