The Mayor of Almada, Inês de Medeiros, appointed Débora Rodrigues, the Socialist councilor for the presidency of the municipality, as deputy to the councilor, Débora Rodrigues, until now deputy to the Minister of State and Finance, João Leão. Published on Thursday in Diário of the Republic, the appointment of Débora Rodrigues took effect since August 24.
Current deputy in the Municipal Assembly of Almada, where she is one of the coordinators of the PS bench, Débora Rodrigues is 27 years old and started in politics in Socialist Youth. With a law degree, she interned at a law firm until April 2016, when she was appointed a specialist technician in the office of the then Deputy Secretary of State, Treasury and Finance, Ricardo Mourinho Félix.
She moved to the office of Álvaro Novo in February 2017, when he became Secretary of State for the Treasury, as deputy and chief of staff (under replacement), remaining in the current Executive, resulting from the 2029 legislatures. Álvaro Novo's departure from the Government was temporarily integrated into the office of João Leão, who replaced Mário Centeno as Finance Minister.
According to the order of João Leão, dated July 7, the now deputy of Inês de Medeiros maintained at that time the remuneration status of deputy, with a gross remuneration of 3.689,64 euros per month.
