Lisbon Regional Council of the Bar Association launches awareness campaign on the importance of the profession

The initiative now enters a new phase that allows lawyers to communicate situations where, during the exercise of the mandate given by their clients, their rights and dignity were the target of attacks on the free exercise of their activity.

The Lisbon Regional Council of the Portuguese Bar Association launched a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of lawyers, an initiative whose objective is to prevent trampling on the practice of law.

The digital campaign “The lawyer makes a difference” started in April, where awareness raising included the disclosure of the fundamental importance of lawyers in the most relevant moments of the lives of people and companies.

The initiative now enters a new phase that allows lawyers to communicate situations where, during the exercise of the mandate given by their clients, their rights and dignity were the target of attacks on the free exercise of their activity. Complaints about these situations can be sent to the email atendimento.advocacia@crlisboa.org.

"The objective is to ensure that these abuses of the exercise of functions are less and less frequent", reveals the Regional Council in a statement.
