Madeira is on alert due to sea turmoil

For Thursday and Friday waves up to 4,5 meters are expected.

The Portuguese Institute for the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow warning of maritime unrest for Madeira, which starts this Thursday and runs until Friday. Waves of up to 4,5 meters are expected.

The captaincy of the Port of Funchal recommended that the vessels remain in the shelter ports due to sea turmoil.

The weather forecast for this Thursday is very cloudy, with light showers, mainly in the northern and highlands, says the IPMA.

Light to moderate wind is expected, which can reach strong, up to 40 km / h, in the highlands.
