Madeira: Hotels will start paying IASaúde amounts they receive from infected tourists

This measure is necessary “in the sense of having a fair share in the expenses inherent to the operation of these same Covid units”, said the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque.

As of November 1, hotels that had reservations for tourists who test positive on arrival at airports in the Region, and in the event that they are transferred to a hotel designated for the Covid-19 cases, will transfer the reservation amounts to IA-Health.

This measure is necessary “in the sense of having a fair share in the expenses inherent to the operation of these same Covid units”, said the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque.

The measure was approved this Thursday in the Government Council and has just been announced at a press conference.
