Minister of Environment visits burnt area in Aljezur

João Pedro Matos Fernandes, Minister of Environment and Climate Action, visits today, June 30, the places where emergency stabilization actions take place after the fire in Aljezur, Lagos and Vila do Bispo, which occurred on June 19.

"In the area affected by the fire, emergency stabilization works are already underway, in a perimeter that encompasses the territory of the municipalities of Aljezur, Lagos and Vila do Bispo", assures a statement from the Ministry of the Environment.

During this trip, João Pedro Matos Fernandes will be accompanied by the Secretary of State for Nature Conservation, Forests and Spatial Planning, João Catarino.

After the visit, the governors meet with the mayors of the city councils of Aljezuer, Vila do Bispo and Lagos.
