The Oleiros Chamber, in the Castelo Branco district, created a Municipal Business Emergency Fund, in the amount of 100 thousand euros, for individual entrepreneurs or companies with registered office in the municipality, was announced today.
In a statement, the municipality of Oleiros explains that the creation of this fund follows the pandemic of the covid-19 and given the current public health emergency.
“It is in this context that the Municipal Business Emergency Fund emerges, with an endowment of one hundred thousand euros, aimed at individual entrepreneurs or companies with their registered office in the municipality of Oleiros”, reads the note.
Eligible sectors are catering and the like, commerce, service provision, and industry.
"In addition to national measures to support companies and their workers, the municipality [of Oleiros] understands that it must complement this effort by ensuring support for employment and the local economy", he maintains.
Interested parties can submit their application to the Chamber of Oleiros until June 19, by filling out a form and submitting the documentation required by the municipality.
Portugal accounts for 1.289 deaths associated with covid-19 in 30.200 confirmed cases of infection, according to the latest daily bulletin from the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) on the pandemic.
In relation to the previous day, there are 12 more deaths (+ 0,9%) and 288 more cases of infection (+ 1%).
The number of hospitalized people dropped from 608 to 576, of which 84 were in intensive care units (minus eight).
DGS also points out that the number of recovered patients increased from 6.452 to 7.590 (+1.138).
