Lawyers, solicitors and enforcement agents maintain income even with temporary disability

The Management of the Pension Fund of Lawyers and Solicitors (CPAS) developed with the insurance company AIG a protection solution for its beneficiaries, in the form of a Personal Accident and Illness Insurance whose premiums will be assumed by CPAS, that is, at no cost to Beneficiaries, the Caixa de Previdência dos Advogados e Solicitores announced in a statement.

The note states that lawyers, solicitors and enforcement agents will start to benefit from an Income Protection Plan that will guarantee them the payment of a daily allowance in situations of absolute temporary incapacity due to illness or accident, if the proposal of the CPAS to be voted in favor in the General Council of the CPAS of the 27th of October.

"This income protection solution responds to the desire of professionals, lawyers, solicitors and enforcement agents and consists of an assistance response from CPAS increased in the event of illness or accident", says aa Caixa in a statement.

With this initiative, the CPAS Management “intends to significantly expand its capacity to support beneficiaries in a situation of special weakness due to temporary illness or accident with disabling bodily injuries, since the new solution guarantees the payment for 6 months of a benefit cash equivalent to 70% of the conventional monthly remuneration declared by the Beneficiary ”, says Caixa de Previdência.
