ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal acknowledged that measuring the temperature of passengers can cause “some constraints in times of greater concentration” of arrival flights at Humberto Delgado airport, in Lisbon.
On Friday night, José Oliveira, a passenger who arrived at 21:41 pm - according to information available on the ANA website - at Humberto Delgado airport on a flight from Horta, in the Azores, reported to Lusa the existence of “a pandemonium” due to the crowding of people in the arrivals area.
Lusa found through photographs sent by this passenger that there were a large number of people in this section of the airport, all wearing masks, but in breach of the recommended distance rules to mitigate the spread of the pandemic.
Asked about this situation, ANA said that “compliance with temperature measurement measures on arrival and carrying out Covid-19 tests can occasionally cause some constraints in times of greater concentration of incoming flights”.
According to the information available on the ANA website, 19 flights arrived at Lisbon airport between 21:00 pm and 22:00 pm - period that includes the arrival of the flight (21:41 pm) of the passenger who denounced the concentration of people without complying with the distance. Social.
"We seek to respond quickly to health security needs and find the best solutions to minimize inconvenience to passengers in current exceptional circumstances," added an ANA source.
