The presidential candidate supported by the Liberal Initiative, Tiago Mayan, accused the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, of behaving like the “broom-car” of the errors of the António Costa Government, appearing “always promising to investigate everything without make sure that in fact something changes ”.

“During his tenure, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa did not know how to position himself in the level of exemption that the function imposed on him. When they expected truth, demand and responsibility, the Portuguese had a President committed to disguising the worst moments of socialist governance ”, says Tiago Mayan.

Mayan presented the presidential candidacy at the end of July, with the support of the Liberal Initiative, joining the president and sole deputy of Chega, André Ventura, in an attempt to beat Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in the presidential elections that will take place in January 2021 .
