Wall Street stock indexes began trading on Monday, August 3, trading on positive ground, driven by Microsoft's negotiations to acquire the short video social network TikTok.

The industrialist Dow Jones opened up 0,43% to 26,541.11 points, the financial S&P 500 rose 0,46% to 3,286.10 points while the technological Nasdaq follows the growth trend valuing 1,09% to 10,862.11 points.

Microsoft promised to acquire the social network TikTok until September, after President Donald Trump gave the technology 45 days to end the purchase of the Chinese social network. The company led by Satya Nadella is up 3,70% to $ 212,60.

Even exceeding quarterly sales and earnings estimates, by benefiting from higher spending on cleaning products during the pandemic, Clorox Co fell 1,3% at the opening of the session. In turn, Marathon Petroleum soared 9,9% after selling its chain of Speedway gas stations, to 7-Eleven, for $ 21 billion.

“In the corporate sector, the highlight was the appreciation of NIO, after reporting a 322% growth in vehicle deliveries in July and the positive reaction of Global Payments to the results of the second quarter. In focus are the divergences in the negotiations for the next stimulus package in the USA, which continue to separate the White House and the Democrats ”, says Ramiro Loureiro, market analyst at Millennium investment banking.

As for raw materials, the Brent barrel values ​​0,74% to $ 43,82, crude oil 1,19% to $ 40,75 and gold depreciates 0,05% to $ 1.972,80.
