AHRESP affirms that the Government “is committed to announce measures” according to the proposals made

On the Government's side, the association stresses that the Minister of Economy “has promised to announce publicly very soon, with the presence of the social partners, the measures that the government may decide in light of the proposals presented by the associations present at this meeting” .

The Portuguese Hotel, Restaurant and Similar Association (AHRESP) met with the Minister of Economy and the Secretary of State for Tourism to discuss the issues currently plaguing the sector.

Through a communiqué, AHRESP claims to have discussed “several proposals, namely the need to reinforce support for companies' liquidity through a non-repayable mechanism for all accounting regimes, including the simplified regime, the compensation of commercial income according to the real breakdown of billing and the widened and simplified mechanisms to support employment in order to facilitate their access ”.

Dombrovskis: "It is feasible that Portugal could be one of the first countries to have the recovery plan approved"

In an interview with Jornal Económico, the vice-president of the European Commission says that the draft of the Portuguese Recovery Plan “goes in the right direction”, emphasizing that the community executive continues to work with the Government in the component of the plan's reforms.
