USA reports 4.261 dead and 188.994 cases by Covid-19 in 24 hours

New York State remains the hardest hit by the pandemic with 41.587 deaths.

The United States recorded 2.237 dead and 188.994 infected with the new coronavirus within 24 hours, according to the independent count from Johns Hopkins University.

The country now accounts for 24.419.844 cases and 405.622 deaths from covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

New York state remains the hardest hit by the pandemic with 41.587 deaths, followed by California with 34.579.

The United States is the country with the most deaths and also with the most confirmed cases of infection.

The covid-19 pandemic caused at least 2.058.226 deaths resulting from more than 96,1 million cases of infection worldwide, according to a report made by the French agency AFP.
